Committee on Payment Infrastructure & International Cooperation established at the Association of Ukrainian Banks
1 September 2026

We are starting the new business season with important news for Ukraine’s banking community — the establishment of the Committee on Payment Infrastructure and International Cooperation at the Association of Ukrainian banks.
We are proud that Eugene Kochkin, CEO of ProFIX Group, has been appointed Chair of the Committee.
The creation of the Committee marks an important step toward strengthening cooperation across Ukraine’s banking sector and creating a platform for sharing expertise and developing practical solutions to the challenges facing the industry.
Its mission is to bring together the expertise of Ukrainian banks and work collectively on solutions that will help the financial sector adapt to the rapidly evolving international payments landscape.
“The cross-border payments landscape is changing rapidly. Ukraine is preparing to join SEPA, Swift is launching new initiatives, and payment infrastructure requirements are evolving. Our task is to bring together the expertise of banks on a single platform and jointly develop solutions that will help Ukraine’s financial sector adapt more quickly to changes in the international payment infrastructure,” said Eugene Kochkin, Chair of the Committee on Payment Infrastructure and International Cooperation and CEO of ProFIX Group.
Andrii Dubas, President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, emphasized: “It is important for us that the Committee becomes a working platform where banks can exchange expertise, jointly address current challenges, and develop practical solutions. We see the potential for this cooperation to eventually result in specific products that will benefit the entire banking sector.”
During its first meeting, the Committee focused on several key areas that will shape the future of Ukraine’s payment infrastructure, including:
🔹 preparation of Ukrainian banks for SEPA;
🔹 potential models for an IBAN registry;
🔹 implementation of the Verification of Payee (VoP) mechanism;
🔹 changes in the interaction with Swift.
For ProFIX Group, participation in this initiative is a natural continuation of our long-standing focus on international payments, payment infrastructure and technology solutions for the financial sector.
We look forward to contributing our expertise and working together with Ukrainian banks and industry stakeholders to build a more connected, efficient and future-ready payment ecosystem for Ukraine.
