How Ukrainian banks can ensure stable access to Swift in times of war and cyberattacks?

ProFIX Group and telecom operator GigaTrans have completed another stage of modernization of the secure L2 channel, through which banks connect to the Swift Service Bureau in Warsaw. The update reduced data transfer latency and increased the stability of work with Swift services.
International bank payments are processed through Swift, so any connection failure directly stops operational work. If you use the regular Internet for this, the traffic moves through the public network and becomes vulnerable to DDoS attacks, interception or route substitution.
– The L2 channel eliminates this vulnerability at the architectural level. It works at the link layer of the network model without using IP addresses, so the traffic is physically isolated from the public Internet. An attack at the routing layer in this case is impossible, because it has no entry point.
– In practice, connection via L2 channel provides banks with a guaranteed SLA, independence from the quality of the Internet and transit providers, protection against DDoS attacks at the network architecture level, predicted data transfer speed and 24/7 technical support.
The solution is implemented by ProFIX Group, a technology partner of the NBU, which has been providing banks with connection and operation in the Swift network for over 20 years.
